The Black Hole is a fun game to practice addition to 10 and 20 with visual help. The players need to land their markers on two tiles that make 10 or 20. The game-board is designed to assist the players with visuals and help them see and understand relationships and patterns.
The aliens are trapped in the Black Hole. There is only one way to come out. Addition!
Material:
- One 6 side dice
- 2 place markers for each player. (small objects/toys)
The players take turns rolling the dice. They start from the smallest inner circle, from the grey tile with the number 10. They enter their markers each one at a different turn. They move one of their markers at a time/turn as many steps as they roll and in any direction. The grey tile is only used for starting and doesn’t count for moving around the circle. The players must land their markers on two different tiles with the sum 10. Once they do that they move to the next part of the Black Hole, the next circle, starting from the grey tile. For the two outer circles, the players need to land their markers on two tiles that give the sum of 20.
The winner is the first player to come out of the Black Hole.
