Math Escape rooms Adventure -Fractions Review- Level 2

I am thrilled to share that I am embarking on a new project: developing an innovative line of math resources called “Escape Room Adventures”! These interactive digital puzzles are designed to engage students and facilitate the revision and practice of specific math concepts. Each adventure is centered around a unique theme and concept, providing an exciting learning experience. I hope that you will find these new resources useful and I would love to hear your views on these kinds of resources.

Students will receive immediate feedback on their answers and progress to the next room once they solve each puzzle. My ultimate goal is to provide an engaging and motivational learning opportunity for students of all skill levels.

Escape adventures are not only a fun way to review math concepts but also encourage group work and foster math discussions. Although they are not timed by default, teachers have the option of adding a time limit if they so choose.

Our very first escape adventure is themed around the beloved Binions and their arch-nemesis, Professor Madlock. The adventure takes place within the confines of Madlock’s spaceship, making for an exciting learning experience.

This particular escape adventure is focused on the review of fractions and it includes the concepts:

  • Equivalent fractions
  • Converting improper fractions to mixed numbers and the opposite
  • Adding fractions
  • Subtracting fractions
  • LCM
  • Simplifying fractions
  • Multiplying fractions
  • Dividing fractions
  • Complete one whole
  • Fraction of a number
  • Comparing fractions

Students need to be familiar with the concepts above to be able to solve and understand the puzzles.

Here are some screenshots and a video to get an idea.
