A Fun, Low-Prep digital activity for Review, Practice, and critical thinking

As teachers, we know that spiral review is key to helping students retain math skills over time and to finding the connections between concepts. The idea of Math Trivia came as a need for an engaging, low-prep resource that combines math concept reinforcement, student engagement, self-correcting, and stress-free, self-paced review.

How It Works

It is a trivia math game with multiple-choice questions for grades 3.4.5.6. (Challenge versions and grades 7,8 coming soon.) The questions include mathematical terms and vocabulary, pictures, and diagrams, word problems, true or false statements, estimations, calculations, algorithm practice, “find the error”, and puzzles. My goal is to provide the students with the opportunity to try different problems in each game. Some problems are just practice or reminders of previous math terms and some are more critical thinking ones. I think the variety makes it fun. It is a growing resource and each grade includes more than 400 questions for now.

Finish the Race

The game is structured/themed as a race, but it’s not about speed. Every correct answer moves students forward, while wrong answers keep them in place—giving them a chance to reflect and improve without feeling rushed. There’s no timer, so students can take their time and focus on accuracy rather than speed. The questions are randomly selected.

Instant feedback

As in any trivia game, after the correct answer is shown and when needed, hints, explanations, and corrections are provided with the answers so that students can learn as they play.

What’s Included?

Each version of Math Trivia is designed for a specific grade level, with challenge editions available for each grade level. Students can choose to answer 10, 20, or 30 questions, making it easy to fit into different lesson plans.
